Penryn are delighted to announce their coaching structure for the upcoming season. Joining last year's team of Head Coach Ian Morgan and Forwards Coach Justin Coleman, the club welcomes back experienced coach Marek Churcher. He will be working primarily alongside the first team coaches and will also be offering support to the other club coaches within the age groups, helping them to develop their knowledge and delivery skills. Morgan was very pleased with the addition of Churcher. “He is a quality coach and has loads of experience to offer, so it’s great for us to have him on board this season. He helped us out last season for a few sessions, but to have him for the full season will be great. An extra pair of eyes and fresh voice for the lads is never a bad thing and we are confident that our new look coaching team will only help drive us forward. We're looking forward to working with him this season“, he said.

Head of Rugby David Levick echoed the excitement of Churcher’s return. “From the conversations I’ve had with Marek I’m extremely excited about what his return will bring to the club. His knowledge and experience will be priceless for the youth section, which continues in its growth and success. This will no doubt prove pivotal into providing the next generation of first team players” said Levick.

Also returning to the club is Gareth Tedstone. Tedstone joins following a position as Redruth forwards coach and as a borough boy, is welcomed back to work with Justin Coleman. 'Teddy' has had the experience of National 2 Rugby for the last two seasons and will be working with Justin to help us develop even further as a squad. Coleman said “Teddy is a good lad and I am confident we will work well together. Being away in Japan as UKAF forwards coach early in the season, having natural cover already in place will be good. It’s looking like a really strong coaching set up and can’t wait to get started now."

Welcome home Marek and Gareth!
