STATEMENT FROM THE CLUB – 25th September 2020
Due to the ongoing advice from the Government regards Covid-19, Penryn RFC continue to put measures in place to keep all our members, visitors, volunteers and staff as safe as possible.
We recently closed both bars whilst we reassess whether it is safe to reopen and what new measures are needed to ensure compliance and continued safety. Please note, businesses and groups that use facilities based at the club will no longer be able to access either venue at this time.
The Learning Zone will only be available to FalCare CIC Ltd. No PRFC members will be permitted to use this venue. Other tenants that occupy club premises not listed above may remain open at their own discretion. Please contact them direct to check access arrangements.
Carpark:
Since our carpark is used by a variety of clients, unless you have express permission to do so, please do not enter the premises. Parents picking up or dropping off at Penryn College are NOT permitted to use the carpark for this purpose. All permitted users are asked to ensure they park with social distancing in mind and with respect and courtesy for others using our facilities. DO NOT park in front of the Vet Practice. The spaces next to the blue fence are for their use only. DO NOT park in front of the access to The Space, next to the vets as this causes problems for community groups using this facility.
Access:
We have a one-way system in place to help with social distancing. Please enter and exit via the main gate at the top of the carpark as the bottom gate is needed for the bar one way system. Once in the grounds, please follow social distancing rules AT ALL TIMES and read the signs to avoid any unnecessary conflict between users and to protect those that work or volunteer at the club. The rules now stipulate that you MUST wear a facemask whilst indoors, unless seated at a table and eating or drinking.
It is imperative that the club remains compliant and that depends upon all our users following the rules which are in place to protect us all. Your behaviour both whilst at the club and outside the club will have a direct impact on our ability to stay open and remain safe. With your support we can achieve that, but it does mean that the rules we have are for EVERYONE to follow AT ALL TIMES, whether you are a player, member, volunteer or visitor to the club.
Members of the public have every right to report us if we don’t adhere to the rules. This will result in the club being closed and incurring a significant fine. That won’t happen if EVERY ONE OF YOU follows the rules without exception so please support us in our endeavours to meet Government rules and regulations and stay open!
During this difficult time, Penryn RFC hope that all our staff, volunteers, members, players and supporters as well as the wider community stay safe and remain healthy.
Please keep up to date with all the latest Government advice.

We will post updates via the website and social media. Please check before arrival as our procedures and processes are liable to change at short notice.
Thank you to all our rugby community for your support in these challenging times.
